I filed for emergency custody for my son, the people in the resource center were nice. The judge and his secretary were extremely rude and unhelpful. My son's father was arrested for harassment and I agreed to allow charges to be dropped based on the conditions that his father have a mental health evaluation and have no contact with me. Right after court, his father showed up at the daycare and tried to take my son, so I filed for emergency custody with the hope of eventually doing a mediation for a legalized custody agreement. The order was denied and the judges receptionist was rude and condescending. The judge and the secretary did not care about the situation, and the justification for the ruling was that the charges were dropped. There was no mention of the conditions in which the charges were dropped with. I've never gone through the family court process, and I never will because I see now that there is a direct bias and almost and invisible punishment that was given to me because I did not pursue a trial with my aona father. Might I add I spoke with the prosecutor about this, the woman who had 30 cases and was talking to 20 people while she was speaking with me and essentially she stated this would be the outcome of a trial. I've learned why children are abducted and why women are victims of domestic violence, because the judges and officials of family court rule with an apathetic sentiment at heart. Whatever happens with my son, I blame family court and the judge who presided over this case for not following through and recognizing the mental instability that is clearly being displayed by my son's father. I mean supervised visitation ok, but to deny is completely wrong
The staff is rude and when they answer a question they do it so quickly and then they expect you to understand. Not a caring environment from the receptionist to the judges. But the officers are friendly and welcoming.
The phone number rings and you are on hold forever!!! Nobody picks up!! I will be emailing the governor about this! Ridiculous! And yes very rude employees that work for FAMILY COURT
The people that they have answering the phone seem as if they despise life. I don't even think rude is the word. More like demonic.
On hold forever. Have tried 3 separate days. No one has answered the phone.
