Went to drop off some clothes and toys that my son doesn’t wear or play with. They gave me a lot of things back and told me that there were stains on a lot of clothes and I checked all the clothes they gave back and found one shirt with a stain out of 14 others. One shirt was brand new and they didn’t take it. They gave me all the shoes back and they’re all in good shape. The toys however they gave me back a toy truck that needed batteries to work 5 rubber frisbees that another kid would love to play with and several DVDs claiming that they were too old and scratched but after examining the dvds I found one with scuffs in the bottom and that was it. One of DVDs was brand new still wrapped in plastic but because they said it was too old they wouldn’t take it.
If you are looking to buy gently used clothing or toys this is a great place to shop.There is a big selection and the prices are very fair. Also a great place to sell clothing and toys that you longer need.
Daughter took newborn outfits in there and they took a couple items. Others they didn't take because they said they were worn. She wore outfit once so they definitely weren't worn or stained place is a joke. Funny they have no problem selling swings that have stained cover. Exactly why we don't fool with this store.
Don't shop at this store. I bought an infant "saucer" 6 months ago at this location. I no longer needed it so I brought it back for resale. These clerks told me they couldn't take it because it did not have a safety sign on it. I told them they sold it to me that way and should take it back because of that. I think this was VERY unfair. I will NEVER go back there again because you cannot trust them, so I am warning all of you to do the same.
Unless you have brand new, state of the art, fresh out of the factory clothes and toys don't waste your gas and time trying to sell to them. They claim they want "gently used" brand name items, but they basically only take stuff that's in tip-top perfect condition. They handed me back a BRAND NEW Ralph Lauren winter coat for "minor staining" and a BRAND NEW Leapstart by Leap Frog because "there are newer models out right now." I tried to sell a few items my son got for Christmas that were either duplicates of things other people got him or things he already had, brand new items, only to get them handed back. On top of that, half of their staff are totally rude and uncaring. Once upon a Child didn't used to operate this way and I don't know what changed but after this time, I would never go back there.
