They have a meeting room that you can use for different events. I think that the Dover Police Officers are some of the best. From time to time I have to call them or my job and they come right away. I work with the public and some of them have some issues that are not their fault. I Dover Police Officers treats them very well whenever I have to call them. I want you to know you are appreciated! Thank you for the wonderful job that you do!
Once i emailed & reported a neighbor who live across from me sexual harass me, bothering me, stock me, threaten me and put rid paper in front our door. I took pic of that. Few days, a officer talked the neighbor 1st then me. She asked what going on like don't know anything about what i said in the email. She said she can't do nothing unless he THREATEN me & COMMIT A CRIME! The next day day I emailed the police and they said she right. Last time i knew that harass and threaten is a crime. The officer should of arrested him. When I was in school they arrested a boy for poking me. That don't make any sense! They are nothing but lazy police who know nothing about the law. We need new officers who know the law.

My personal experience with them first started when I called the Dover Police Department about regional statistics. Right off the bat a real officer picked up the phone. Not a prerecorded message and not an automated system. A human freaking being picked it up. WOW! The officer was polite and transferred me to the correct department of which I spoke with officer Mark Hoffman. He was very pleasant and cared about my questions. He wasn't quick to push me off but he was attentive and patient as I discussed my concerns. He NEVER once gave me the cold shoulder of "I'm too busy" or "I've answered enough, now move on". He listened and was happy to answer all my questions.

Totally sucks as a police department. Called twice bout two kids acting homeless peddling for money. Called back the second time n she said we sent officer there already and they wasn't there. I said well they there now, I called the first time a hour before I called back. Straight up lied. These cops suck as law enforcement. They can't catch criminals if they fell in there lap. Most of them are FAT. REALLY a fat cop running. What are they doing? Having his fat ass run for more doughnuts. I THOUGHT YOU HAD TO KEEP IN SHAPE TO BE ABLE TO RUN WHEN NEEDED.IF YOUR NOT GOING TO RESPOND TO CALLS THEN WHY ACT LIKE YOUR ARE..... WHAT A JOKE.
I wrote a letter to them about my forged checks in 2012. It have evidence and phone numbers. The detective who receive the letter, wanted to meet me. I was very shy didn't went. I email him few wks later. For not meeting him he didn't investigate saying the ball is in my court! That just lazy and rude.
Look, the police have a hard job as it is. If you are polite and honest (even when you know you done messed up) with them, I'm certain you'll be treated with respect. Officers are people too and they have feelings so stop treating them like the enemy. They are the good buys. Officers don't want to be treated like garbage so be respectful and courteous to them.
