I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at ATI in South Dover, DE. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and encouraging. I was going there about 3 times per week for almost 2 months, and I seen (I believe) 3 different physical therapists. I wish I remembered their names, because they were each fantastic! And the people who also worked in the PT room (don't know what they're called) but they were great as well. They were always helping me with anything I needed, making sure I did my exercises & stretches correctly, and were great to talk to! Made my time fly!
These folks are miracle workers. Had a total knee replacement done in June, and by early August I'm biking, hiking, and doing beautifully. The space is well-maintained, and the therapists are super friendly and encouraging. Highest possible recommendation!
Overall my experience was very good. People were friendly, courteous and professional and I had good results.
On the good side -- they were encouraging, answered my questions and were eager to help me take these exercises home to help me keep my progress. I definitely had relief from the pain and help in strengthening muscles. The facility was clean and open and snow was always removed to make it safe. I will definitely use ATI when I get my knee replacement and recommend them to others.
This place was clean, and well maintained which is something I always look for when it comes to my health. I felt completely comfortable there! I would highly recommend ATI to anyone needing physical therapy and would go back myself if I ever need it again while living in Dover.
What could be improved: I had different people from one appointment to the other at times and some weren't as familiar with what I was supposed to be doing. Sometimes the person attending was very busy and there wasn't much supervision. At the beginning we need to be reminded about how to be performing our exercises and some did not. The massage is not much of a massage -- not enough pressure being put on the muscles. I have found massage to be as beneficial for me as the other therapy. It would be nice if that service could be provided at the place of therapy and not just the 5-10 minutes given.
