The pavilion/grilling/playground is near the water, and has plenty of shade trees. As does the series of trails that loops around the pond. The pond also has fishing during the season, and to talk to many of those that partake in the fishing, it is pretty well stocked.
Great park for dog walking. Pet owners sometimes leave their bags of dog poo. Pick it up and take it with you! Great playground and picnicking area.
A quaint park - open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk, that is normally not crowded at all. The dog park could use more benches and shade, but it has a large and small dog side with ample room for running and playing. Both sides also have fresh water available throughout most of the year.
Nice place to just get out and enjoy nature
Nice dog park, separate area for large and small dogs. Picnic area and lots of fishing space.
Cold but clean nice dog pens
As with other Kent County parks - there are not any bathroom facilities, and no trash cans. This is a carry in/carry out your trash park. That is fine by me, but not everyone that frequents the park abides by those rules. It is not uncommon to find pieces of trash, fishing line around, or dog waste bags left by the dog park. That isn't particularly the park's fault - so I won't even knock a star off due to the disgusting habits of others. All in all - a nice little park for a quiet stroll or doggy play time.
