I have been going twice a year for forty years. There have been a lot of changes though the years. They always try to make it about the fans and to be fan and kid friendly. Awesome experience. I have been in both the stands and the VIP booth either are great. We have a group of us that go every race and then we tailgate. So much fun. We even like the free concerts as well. The Strokes were awesome.
Track is easy to get to and right beside the Dover Downs. Track is fast and you can see all the way around from most seats. My dad any I enjoyed the Monster Mile a bunch! All parking areas are fairly close to the track and easy to get out of after the race. Overall 5 star experience!
Theres a large “monster” at front gate kids love..of course they sell toys of it also...
My wife and I have been to Bristol, Kansas, and Kentucky and we think Dover was the best fan experience. This may be the closest you can get to the pit boxes and track with a Hot Pass. The infield has a grassy hill behind the pit stalls which make it easy to sit and observe the action. The parking was well-organized in and out. The racing is quite fun, and the foot bridge going over the track is amazing. Highly recommend.
Very popular during race season. Plenty of good hotels and shopping in the surrounding area as well.
I only go here for the buffet. On Friday and Saturday they have all you can eat crab legs hot or cold. Also have other sea food along with other choices. There is a hotel along with horse racing depending on the time of year. Can get crowed during the Memorial day weekend. Which is Nascar. There is entertainment also.
