Overall, nice place to have dinner.
I personally enjoy Outbacks product and sercive quality but I CANNOT accept unseasoned steaks.
We arrived an hour before closing not thinking that it would be a problem (and not paying attention to what time they closed). Our waiter was unhappy prior to us being seated due to some customers that he had prior to our arrival (information provided by the hostess). We ordered and food arrived timely. One son did not receive his full order however, by this time we did not complain as everyone was hungry. Attitude of waiter gradually got better as our dining experience progressed. My food was good, my husband said he really liked his meal and our sons were content. In the end, I did not think the meal was worth what we paid but I knew appriximately what the bill would be when we ordered.
I stopped in to have lunch as I had a taste for the pumpernickel bread. I placed my order and right as I was about to dig into my salad I saw a big fly just dead ontop of my lettuce. I asked my waiter if she saw something wrong with it and she said no so I turned the plated so that she could examine it all the way around and she still insisted that she didn't see anything. I asked that she get the manager for me and she obliged. The manager came over and I asked her the same question that I asked the waitress and she looked carefully. She apologized and took the salad away then returned with another. At this point I didn't even want the salad anymore as I was afraid they just removed the fly. I gave 3 stars since they ended up removing my whole meal and I only had to pay for my beverage but the tab wasn't my issue the fly was noticeable to the naked eye which means she didn't check the food before she delivered it and that's not good when working in the restaurant business.
I wouldn't complain because I realize that everyone has an off day but I've been back several times since getting back in town last month and my experience has been the same each time.
Steak was cooked perfectly but wasn't seasoned at all :(
I enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Food was a bit spicy, but this seems to be the trend in many chain restaurants.
The service here is always slow. I actually heard a manager tell a customer something like this: "your quesadilla is coming out late because we had to get a fresh steak for it. We usually use left over steak from yesterday for the quesadillas." While this isn't a big deal....why would you tell a customer that?
This having been said, I have not experienced this issue at other Outbacks across the country.
