I had a good experience. Worked with Matt who was professional...Looks like Hertz is hiring young which I love to see but they weren't giving off good vibes. Facilities looked pretty make shift which irritates me because appearance is half the battle. But service was good.

I had to get a rental with Hertz because this is who State Farm reserved for me. My reservation was suppose to be for a mid-sized SUV. I called the day before to ensure I would be getting a mid-sized XI and was ensured I would. I was picked up from Holden Dodge in a sedan with 3 of my 2 kids in a sedan, which wasn't my rental, and had to put in a car seat and booster. Then when we arrived at Hertz they did not have a mid-sized SUV and the sedan I was picked up in wasn't even my rental. So, I had to switch my car seat and booster over to another sedan in almost 100 degree weather. I was suppose to be notified as soon as they had an SUV for me. Two days later and I hadn't heard anything from Hertz. I called them and was told there was a mid-sized SUV for, so I rushed over. When I got there it was a SMALL SUV! There was other mid-sized SUVs there, but I was told they couldn't be rented because the registration on them had expired! What car rental company lets registration expire!? To make a long story short: it was a long, uncomfortable week of my family having to take 2 cars if we needed to all go somewhere together.

Reserved car online Sunday morning for Monday morning pick up. Monday morning 735 called for pick up and told "sending a car", 30 min later no pick up call back told that they are working on a car but don't have a drop box and trying to get ahold of customers for car keys. Wait 40 more minutes call back again told they are trying after several minutes finally got the guy to tell me would be 3-4 hrs before they got a car. First the web site must communicate with the local office to know what is in available. Second when the first person I spoke to realized there was a problem I should have been told so I could start working other options. Very dissatisfied, would NEVER recommend anyone depend on them.

I made a vehicle reservation 11 days in advance of our trip. I had a very lengthy discussion with a man that I believe may have been the manager about our trip. He told me for the distance of our trip and the number of people going, for comfort we would be better off with a large SUV (seats 7) which I was fine with me. My husband was looking for something along the lines of a Tahoe or Expedition anyway. The evening before our trip my husband picked up our rental without me because I They gave him a Ford Escape, which is a very small SUV and NOTHING compared to what we reserved and needed. They told him that was what they had us down for. He told them we needed something much larger, but they said. The only thing in the size we needed they were having issues with. He left with the vehicle, but was very unhappy with it. He ended up calling them and telling them there was no way this was going to work out for us. They said to call at 8am and see if they had located another larger vehicle for us. We were scheduled to leave for our trip at 8am, and were on a very strict travel schedule. 8am the next morning, the person who was suppose to be helping up was tied up with someone else already. He was suppose to call back asap, but we ended up calling an hour later. Finally they said they had something larger for us, an Explorer. So we had to go out of our way, already over an hour late leaving, and go back to Hertz to exchange vehicles. We picked up the explorer, which was dirty inside and out (as was the Escape when we got it.) We had to clean the inside of the windshield to see. By time we got home and got everything and everyone loaded up, we were almost 3 hours late leaving, thanks all to someone's screw up in a reservation that was made well in advance. I will not be using Hertz again.
