Her: "mhmm."
The hotel room smelled musty upon entering it. It may have been a smoking room before as well. We stayed due to the lack of vacancies elsewhere. In order to do that however we had to visit our local store to get supplies to make the room bearable. We requested new covers due to stains on the original. The sheets however appeared clean. I put my own sheets on anyway. There was no room phone, the light in the bathroom didn't work, the ceiling tiles had stains, there was dust on the bed post and lamps, and the socket by the bed didn't hold our chargers (kept falling out). The free breakfast was a plus but included no meat. I wasn't expecting much but at the bare minimal I expect a clean room with working lights. I only interacted with staff once when we ran out of toilet paper but he was polite and came very quickly. My sister checked in and out but reported no issue with either.
Yeah awkward as hell and horrible service from her. Also during the 4 days we stayed we asked for room service one time and didnt get it. i asked for extra towels for showering and never got them until I hunted down the maids myself. Other than that the room was clean when we got there and was surprisingly nicer than what I expected. All in all that guy was super cool and the room was nice but I probably won't be back.
I have never been in such an unprofessional establishment in all my life... reservations for 2 rooms made days in advance... one king and one double.. when I get there around 11pm, the double was fine.. I was told there were no kings left and I'd have to down grade to a queen... I was left standing for well over a half hour while the guy at the desk went to check 2 rooms to see if they were clean... of course they weren't. At that point he processed paperwork and I looked down to see that he'd downgraded my queen that I had finally agreed to, to a double. That's when I left and went the next door down where the place was actually more accommodating than the place I'd made a reservation with...
Our room was not the cleanest. Upon arrival we had to wipe down walls and spray for bugs because there was a few flying critters in the room. Our bathroom light flickered and went out for the entire time and we showed up to dirty bed linens. My rate was a 3 only because the staff was friendly and helpful
If I could rate people individually I would give the guy who checked me in a 6/5. He was super nice and helped me out when my online booking wasn't showing up in their system. He also got me a cheaper rate than what I found online. It was awesome. He was amazing! I wish i could remember his name. However, checking out was another story. An older lady I think Aline or something was horrible. I got in at 9:55am (5 minutes before complimentary breakfast) and it was already shut down. (Whatever I just wanted a cup of coffee not looking for food or anything) and there was an older gentleman in front of me at the desk. So I waited thinking she was helping him. Nope. She was just on her phone texting. She finally noticed me 5 minutes later. Conversation goes like this:
Private entrance, bed comfortable. Not smoking room full of smoke smell. Smoke detector disconnected. Tub not washed
Her: "hi. what do you need?" Me: "hi there. I just need to check out of my room." Her: doesnt say anything and reaches her hand out. Me: ...? "Oh i left the card keys in the room. Haha." her: "oh okay." Me: ... waits a couple minutes. "Am i good to go?"
